A $h!t week or the best week?

I had a bad week last week.

The weather sucked. It was pretty much gray for 5 days straight.

My banking app wouldn’t let me in but continued to send me emails about my low-balance.

I had more than 1 appointment that just totally didn’t show up with no warning at all.

I beat myself up about being unproductive, which only led to me being more unproductive, thus beating myself up more, and… well, you get the point.

I felt like I was doing a million house chores from being gone for a week, and yet there were still things un-done on my to-do list.

It was just a $h!t week.

Or was it?

Last week was also a great week:

I got 2 new clients at the gym!

I signed up for and attended my first boxing class and it was so much fun and my ribs still hurt.

My boyfriend got me an insanely awesome new bike and I already got to ride it!

I cooked & meal-prepped for the first time in about a month, which I absolutely love to do.

I got to crack open a new journal & cleaned out my studio drawer by drawer, paper by paper.
(So. Satisfying.)

I watched the Ellen Degeneres stand-up on Netflix (10/10 would recommend) which is something I’ve been meaning to do for a couple weeks now, and I laughed so hard and it just felt good.

I made actual drip coffee instead of Keurig coffee and it tasted like good, coffeeshop coffee.

It was actually kind of great week.

We can have great weeks, great days, great months anytime we want. It’s all in how we choose to look at things & what we choose to look for.

This week, choose to look for the good stuff, keeping in mind it might be right next to the not-so-good stuff.
