How to be a good person

It’s pretty easy actually:

move about the world with the constant consideration that everyone else is a person just like you.

Don’t be so self-absorbed such that you forget that all of the
feelings,
experiences,
desires,
fears,
concerns,
worries,
pet-peeves,
joys,
thoughts,
aches,
pains,
that you yourself have
are also had by every person you interact with
on the phone,
at the checkout counter,
in traffic,
in the office down the hall,
or the room next door.

The key to being a good person, is just to be ever aware that you’re not the only person.
Ever.
Anywhere.

Instead of assuming others are acting from a place of direct spite towards you (an extremely selfish but universal belief) or that you are the only person
worried about the future,
ready to be home,
frustrated by a loved one,
in a hurry,
confused,
or just trying to be happy
(another selfish but universal belief)—
assume the opposite:

that everyone is just like you.

It’s much less isolating and much more what we were made for.

P.S. - In case you missed it, here’s a quick video I made from a frenzy of creative energy catching you up on where I’m at + what I’m doing. Enjoy!
