I Have A Confession....
I have been living in a pile of bullsh*t for going on 2 weeks now.
Moreover, it’s my own BS. I’m just over here throwing it around, whinin’ & wonderin’ why things feel the way they feel.
Let’s talk about what bullsh*t is, because I want to make sure you’re not also living in your own BS, too.
Bullsh*t, as defined by Google (yes, I Googled this) is stupid or untrue talk or writing; nonsense. I would have to agree, but that still doesn’t help us identify whether or not we’re living in it, because the thing about bullsh*t is: we believe it. So, it’s false & nonsensical nature is a tough defining characteristic because it does not seem false or nonsensical to us.
Here’s what bullsh*t feels like to me: it feels like the universe calling me towards something uncomfortable and me throwing up every excuse & defense mechanism I have in hopes that something will stick and protect me from this overwhelming, large, scary calling.
(Please picture me flailing around as if trying to swat away an incoming wasp as you read the following pieces of BS.)
“But I don’t have the money!”
“But I don’t know what I’m doing!”
“But I said I wanted to do this! I can’t change my mind now!”
“But it’s not the right time!”
“But I have so much other stuff going on!”
“But I don’t look the part!”
“But it will all fall into place much better later!”
“But I don’t feel inspired right now!”
Update: nothing stuck.
Because that’s all bullsh*t. It’s literally stupid and untrue talk; nonsense.
Look, you know what you need to do. You can feel it.
People say, “But I don’t know who I am. I don’t know what I want!” and I don’t buy it.
That’s your BS.
You do know who you are and what you want, you just aren’t sure if the world will approve. Or if it will “work.” Or if it will make you money or make you happy or if it will last.
But cut the bullsh*t. You know what you want. You know who you are. We all do. You might not know who you will be or where you will go, but you know who you are right now and you know what you need to do right now.
The universe is calling you.
And it’s bullsh*t if you don’t answer.
